About Us

Triangle is a social fraternity made up of scientists, architects, and engineers. There are currently over 1000 active members of Triangle nationwide, and we continue to grow each year.

Triangle was founded on April 15, 1907 by 16 civil engineering majors at the University of Illinois. Since then, the fraternity has grown to more than 30 chapters, and over 25,000 men have joined Triangle in the past 102 years. The UMBC Chapter of Triangle began as a small interest group in 2001. In the four years that followed, interest in the fraternity grew, as did our membership. Our chapter was installed on June 4, 2005, and we have initiated nearly 100 men into the ranks of Brotherhood. We currently have 27 active members in our chapter, and we are always looking to increase our membership with talented, dedicated men majoring in the hard sciences and engineering.

While we are a social fraternity, our dedication to academic performance is paramount; our chapter GPA is consistently at or above a 3.0 each semester, and we were honored to have the highest GPA of any Triangle chapter during the 2008-2009 year.

Feel free to ask any of the Brothers about the Fraternity, or contact us here for more information.
